Well like....well yeah!

Alright, I am ready to give the blog another shot. And maybe, just maybe I will learn how to add people to my blog. You see the few blog names that currently reside on my page are the ones that Stacy helped me with so long ago....

Well, anyways, here's a quick update for all two of you:

I have officially started my senior year at UVU. Though this is a monumental occasion that has been years in the making, yes, many many years, needless to say I have entered into the year... less than enthusiastic. It must have been all that fun I had this summer...I just don't want to be all responsible again! I can't live up to the expectations of the all A's semesters I enjoyed, well more or less "enjoyed", during my junior year. Well, like it or not, this is the last semester of classes before I brave student teaching in January at Scera Park Elementary in a 5th and 6th grade class. Yes, you read right, two grades, one class, that means double the work for me. You can imagine my excitement.

In other news, I moved to Belmont apartment, also known to all of you in the know, as "snot central." I'm prettysure the apartment itself must have sensed my intrusion on its pretty-and-perfect atmosphere, as it literally attempted to have me killed, twice. To make two stories in a nutshell, we had not one, but two carbon monoxide leaks within three months of each other. The first, being the more "fatal" of the two, almost did my roommate and I in, as neither of us had ever seen a carbon monoxide detector before and considered its incessant beeping a nuisance in our lives. We simply thought it a faulty smoke detector and attempted to dismantle it and hid it in between the cushions of the couch so we could go back to sleep. Anyways, we finally figured it out and got out in time only suffering minor headaches and nausea. The second go-round, though we were equally irritated at the intrusion of our beauty sleep, we at least knew the drill this time. The fire department once again de-contaminated our apartment in the wee hours of the morning, and the quest-star guy solved the problem for good...at least we think.... So take that Belmont! I'm here to stay :)

Me and my roommie Dani

I had the opportunity to go to California and stay at a beach house for a family reunion that was not even my family....but it sure felt like it. It was an awesome week! I even cried when it was time to leave!

I have started yet another year of Christmas in August as I prepare for Christmas shows with Center Stage, and Christmas recitals at the American Fork recreation Center. The combination of stressful preparation and premature Christmas holiday hullabaloo, usually makes me the "bah humbug" of the season by the time December actually rolls around. The only thing I usually have to look forward to at Christmas time, is that I usually lose weight due to being too busy to eat. However, due to my recent crazy diet endeavors, this benefit was unmistakeably absent last year. Let us hope this Christmas brings tidings of comfort and joy in the form of looser jeans :)

If I wasn't busy enough, I still work at Chilis. I am thanking my lucky stars that that blasted "2 people for $20" is, for the time being, gone from the menu. As with the rest of the economy, the food business also took a hard hit and in an attempt to bring more customers in the door, Chilis offered this ridiculous promotion that offered an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $20. Yeah, about $40 worth of food there, great for you... terrible for the servers. All of our income has reduced drastically, so I want to take this time to remind people...though no one may even read this, it makes me feel better, if you cant afford to tip your server, you cant afford to go out to eat.

Now in case any of you are wondering at this point if there was some hope for my romantic life, you will only be disappointed, as prince charming remains to be "missing in action."
